During this 5-hour practical course, you’ll develop:

E-bikes are transforming mountain biking, opening up bigger routes, longer days, and new riders. But leading an e-bike group requires a different mindset, sharper planning, and an understanding of how power assistance changes group dynamics.
Our MIAS E-Bike Leadership Training course is designed for qualified leaders who want to confidently manage and deliver rides involving electric mountain bikes — whether in mixed analogue and e-bike groups or dedicated e-bike sessions.
Across this one-day training and assessment, you’ll explore:
The key differences between analogue and e-bikes
How power assistance affects pace, fatigue, and rider management
E-bike specific pre-ride checks and mechanical considerations
Route planning for battery range and terrain
Leadership strategies for mixed groups
This course gives you the skills and confidence to safely embrace the growth of e-mountain biking while maintaining professional standards of delivery.
